Dr. Foland graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1986 and completed residency in Internal Medicine at Texas Tech University in 1990 and a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Louisiana State University Medical Center in 1993. He has been practicing medicine since 1993.
Although Dr. Foland's practice focuses primarily on spinal disorders, he also manages a wide variety of musculoskeletal, sports and rheumatologically related painful disorders.
Dr. Foland is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Board of Pain Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports and Occupational Rehabilitation, the American Medical Association, and the American Association of Orthopedic Medicine.
Dr. Foland spent the first 10 years of his career practicing in Southern California. He then spent the next 5 years working in Alabama and Florida before returning to California.
Dr. Foland relocated to Sonora in 2009 with his wife and son.
