Dr. Joseph M. Grant,

Dr. Grant was born and raised
in New Jersey and during his military career, spent several
years in the Philippines. He attended college at Rutgers University
in New Jersey, and graduated with honors from the University
of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Grant completed
his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the Naval Hospital
in Oakland, California and his spine fellowship training at
Seton Medical Center in Daly City, California. He has been
practicing in the Bay Area since 1989.
His practice is focused on the treatment of
spinal disorders. Areas of expertise include complex spinal
reconstructive procedures, scoliosis, revision surgery, cervical,
thoracic and lumbar spine surgery, and minimally invasive
spinal procedures. He has a broad background in both the care
of non-operative and surgical spinal disorders in adults.
He is Board Certified by the American Board
of Orthopedic Surgery, and the American Board of Spine Surgery,
and is an active member of the North American Spine Society.
He maintains an active research interest and has participated
in numerous clinical studies. Dr. Grant has co-authored an
article and book chapter, and presented numerous papers at
national and local meetings.
Dr. Grant lives in the Tri-Valley area with
his family.
