Dr. James H. Rhee,
MD

Dr. Rhee was raised in Ohio but spent a number
of years in the Bay Area, receiving his college degree from
the University of California, Davis. He graduated from Loyola
University, Stritch School of Medicine, in 1991. After completing
a General Surgery internship at Foster G. McGaw Hospital,
Illinois, he fulfilled a three-year obligation in the US Army.
He then completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. He had practiced
in Arizona and Utah and recently relocated to the Bay Area.
His practice is centered on the non-operative management of
spine, sports and occupational rehabilitation. He employs
noninvasive and minimally invasive techniques to optimize
pain relief and increase function.
He is Board Certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine
and Rehabilitation with a subspecialty in Pain Medicine. He
is an active member of the International Spinal Injection
Society, Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports and Occupational
Rehabilitation, American Pain Society, and the American Academy
of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Rhee lives in the Tri-Valley area with his family and
is active in a variety of outdoor activities.
